Tunisia has long been high on my personal short list to ride, let's see it all! This is where we were riding this autumn. It is not as well explored by us bikers as many other europe easily accessible directions, and what can I say, it hides unbelievable potential! For me, it has an extra value - it's a test for the coming year to see if Africa fits me, if I fit in and if Greta will be ok with all that.
In short, Tunisia is a turbo attractive bike destination. If you appreciate diverse and wild, intact landscape you will find it there, as well as a many crooked roads. What is even more important, Tunisia is the "easiest" country in North Africa, you can get there easily by ferry from Genoa and people there are incredibly friendly and welcoming, everyone, literally. Today I'm uploading a bunch of photos for a good start, and soon in a few following posts I am going to publish information about different aspects of riding in Tunisia, how to get there, what you can count on, what to eat and where to sleep, where to go etc. There will also be gpx tracks!, be prepared :-)
