The gravel roads are calling... if they call we must go! Hungarian TET and a little more... :-)
Where should one go having a slightly longer weekend? Recently Jakub Czekaj suggested a great idea and showed me some of his photos encouraging to choose an unusual destination....
Hungary is a big hit, that's for sure! And if someone thinks that Hungary is a flat land, full of sunflowers, corn, with a beautiful city in the centre, where they serve excellent goulash.... well, then he is all right about the goulash and Budapest, but wrong about the rest.... Take a bit of the Carpathians, some of those fields I mentioned, add to that a bit of the Balkans and beautiful beech forests, spice it up with the freedom of riding all kinds of roads and forests and wast remote lands without villages. Do you like it? We liked it too, that’s what we travel for, see the photos.... I am sure that I will be returning there more often.
For the records, I have reinstalled knobby tires, what a great feeling - a grip! We were also testing a new farkle, the Primus Omnilite Ti multi-fuel stove. It's expensive, it's lightweight and you can cook an excellent letcho, I'll try to make some writeup about the different cooking devices soon :-)
