The Rugged Rides 7/26/2022

We're done exploring towns and wandering around the Rif, it's time for the real hit - high-grade trails away from civilization, off the beaten tourist track! We resuply water, fuel, make some shopings and off we go. We set a bivuac on the high cliff right in one of the largest cedar forests in the world. It is full of monkeys that can steal anything that is left unattended. Beware! :-) We climb the mountains riding brilliant gravel roads, then we proceed without the road at all. The road has been washed out, so we ride directly along the river bed at the bottom of canyon. We set up another camp there.

The next few days bring us dozens of remote villages, wonderful in their form, and we meet simple and charming people. Our paths get narrower and narrower, and finally we reach a magical place, the edge of the massif, which offers a breathtaking view. We sleep suspended in total wilderness, fullfilled just with stones. It is actually perfect. Only the full moon doesn't fit, I can't take a picture of the milky way spread over the tents....
